Searchable threads in one long post:

False claims

Suzanne Martin makes false claims about Andrews, this time falsely citing police action. Police don't ever update the public about ongoing cases, which proves clearly it's nothing more than Suzanne Martin once more trying to smear Paul Andrews.

Suzanne Martin also avoids questions from lawyers Michelmores about progress of the Vega+ and also lies about the product being ready in a couple of weeks.

This leak also shows that some RCL updates are not tied to negative media coverage as many people suspected, but were made to convince their solicitors they were about to deliver the devices to backers. This goes some way to explain the eerie silence when a delivery date is missed - the update has served it's purpose as RCL have bought more time from a substantial creditor.

The Indiegogo update immediately following this email claimed that RCL were chasing a few stragglers for the roll of honour but the buttons were now perfect:

Retro Computers Ltd

Hello, Hello...

Hello, Hello... So we are still chasing a few stragglers for the Roll of Honour, we will make contact with you directly to give you one last chance but if you could get a shimmy on we would appreciate it.

And thanks to everyone who has waited patiently waited for a response we have replied to most of you by now.

Also, big thanks for the constant messages of support

A couple of weeks ago we released a teaser showing one of our tools and asked you which component we were making - well it was THOSE pesky buttons that have caused us so much trouble. We were moulding them in clear plastic to make sure there were no air bubbles and the tools are now perfect.

We have also listened to feedback from testers and retailers, and have made additional changes to the top central panel; this cuts out the light-bleed which, has been mentioned in a few places. We have also modified the tooling so that the edges butt together to form a smooth ergonomic edge to enhance playability and the overall feel of the unit.

We hope you love the Spectrum colours - we have now confirmed these. If you could have an additional colour unit which colour would you choose and why? Let us know - we are all ears.

More footage and images to be released over the next couple of days.

Delivery details will be forthcoming very soon - stay tuned

— Retro Computers Ltd (update 72)

The next day another short update was issued claiming the design had been tweaked:

Retro Computers Ltd

Over the last few months, we have addressed a number of design issues.

Here is a just a tiny glimpse of the work that has gone into making your Vega+ better than ever.

And it feels good...

— Retro Computers Ltd (update 73)

Following this update was 3 months of silence until February 5th, 2018!

Hi Jayne

We are expecting product at the end of next week – beginning of the next. We are issuing an update today.

Also I was advised by Luton Police that Andrews’ computers have been seized – not sure when but I think that is progress.

Thanks Suzanne,

David could we catch up later this afternoon?

In the meantime can you confirm where we are with product development?

Kind regards,

Hi Garbhan

I think this letter is to report to the SRA.

Might I suggest we ask if he us still representing my Andrews as he appears to be using another firm?

Just an idea

Hi both

See the attached. Not sure if this relates to something specifically, or whether it is a general indication of Patrick Smith coming back of the scene for another round.

How are things? How close are you now in getting the Vega + out the door to backers?

Confirmation of the shilling that went on from certain individuals during this absolute scandal. What a disgrace!

Well it seems justice has prevailed for once and no surprises there to be honest what a ridiculous bit of behaviour !

Indiegogo Campaign

"Our Indiegogo campaign is to raise funds to manufacture the first 2,500 or more units of the Vega+ in the UK, and to prepare us for the second production run."
