Vertex Moulding left hanging with no money

Vertex Moulding Ltd chase down Suzanne Martin for an update on the Vega+ project, but Suzanne makes it clear that she wants nothing to do with Retro Computers Ltd. She sends them off in David Levy's direction, as he is the last remaining captain going down with the sinking ship.

This poor company is yet another in the long list of victims, now sitting on a large stack of poorly designed, unusable plastic shells, with nowhere to ship them to, no money to be paid to them, and no idea what's going on - just like approximately 5000 backers. Retro Computers Ltd continues to trade whilst insolvent, with court cases from backers and other creditors rolling in daily, and at the same time RCL have no working PCBs, no games, and no hope of a final product.

David Levy's maths also leaves a lot to be desired, as 9000 cases have been made, but only 1000 sets of buttons. David Levy and Suzanne Martin sweet talked multiple companies into each making a different part of the shoddy console so as to avoid any one of them doing credit checks for the entire amount, with the promise of large future orders. Other companies such as the China screen company only ever got paid for a small quantity of display screens of an imaginary large future order, as Levy rushed a small number of barely functional consoles in an attempt to cover the RCL directors' tracks.

Regular readers may notice the Big Boy moulding machine visible on the Vertex Moulding Capabilities page. Also HDTS stands for HD Tooling Service, another company that is a victim of David Levy's Vega+ scam.

Hi David,

I’ve spoken to Suzanne recently and she informed me she has left retro and that you were now in control of the project.

I’d appreciate an update on the progress/situation with the console as we currently have 9000 case mouldings and 5000 window mouldings in stock awaiting despatch.

There are also printed circa 1000 printed buttons and diaphragms

The last discussions I was having with Suzanne was looking into the printing and scratch resist coating of the windows and she said she had found a company capable of doing it.

Also I am aware that the ‘over stiffness’ of the rubber keypads was never really sorted at HDTS so I would be happy to discuss this with you.

Regards
